It might just be my phone, but I'm only getting one bar with AT&T (in case I want to sell) after jail breaking with a preserved 01.59.00 baseband. Anyone else get this?

Damn i'm tired. Try many many times to update 4.3.3 to iOS5 cfw but always get error 1600 in iTunes. Tried everything, Redsnow, Snowbreeze, iReb to get pwned DFU, all software showing everything is fine "entered to pwned DFU", but it wont work... I even try older iTunes... Whats wrong? :/ How can i update to iOS5 cfw? Itunes is cheking iphone restore on apple servers and after that i'm geting that error... I tried to add apple.com to hosts file too. Not working... Thanks

I had that issue with 4.3.3 and ended up just installing Ultrasnow even though I didn't need it. That fixed my reception issues.

are you going to iOS 5 or 5.0.1 because 5 is no longer signed by apple meaning you can install that version unless you used ifath to store blogs which you say you are coming from 4.3.3 so i don't think you will have

Bro, you are genius :> I disable windows 7 firewall, completely cleared hosts file content and wooohoooo it's working... I think it's because of tinyumbrella entries in hosts file... Thanks a lot :)

if you are already on 5.0.1 then yea use the cydia package search for corona untethered if your not on 5.0.1 use redsnow or sn0wbreeze to create custom firmware and restore to 5.0.1 then jailbreak hope this helps

i had to change my host file back to stock because it was giving me errors. after i did that it worked great. 3gs with ipad baseband. thanks a lot guys

I know you said you tried the pwned DFU mode but just in case...If you see the connect to iTunes, you're in recovery mode.If you're phone is off, you're in DFU mode.I was getting a 1604 error because I have a messed up power button and kept going on recovery instead of DFU mode.

So after all this you need to jailbreak?!?! Shouldn't cydia be installed once you do this.The link near the bottom "step by step" is for jailbreaking but when you click on it there are instructions with "Important note to iPhone unlockers: Please don't use this guide if you want to preserve your iPhone's baseband. We will publish a guide for it shortly."So what to do?

Yes... you can jailbreak ios 5.0.1 with baseband 4.11.08 (i did it)you can't unlock baseband 4.11.08 yet, for use iphone with any carrier!I hope a solution soon! :(

Had a similar problem months ago when I tried to upgrade to iOS 4.3.3. Solved the problem by downloading the iOS firmware with iTunes. Don't know why it worked but the firmware from other links never worked
