I've got an iPhone 4 running 4.3.3 and baseband 4.10.01 and I tryed everything, following exactly the instruction but all i get is the warning diolog box from iTunes "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1600)." and it seems my phone is stuck in a recovery loop which i have to fix with Redsn0w's Recovery fix.And yes, i did put the iPhone in DFU Mode and Redsn0w told me, that my phone would be ready to restore with a custom firmware.Please, somebody help me!

Hi, I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 running ios 4.0.2 with 1.59.00 baseband version. Can I update to 5.0.1 jailbreak untethered without updating my baseband ? I read at this article (http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=17344) that we can only do a tethered JB if we want to preserve the baseband. Any comments please ?

i even build a signed ipsw after i put iphone 4 in dfu mode and try to restore itunes gives error 10 :..( pls help me pls pls

Thanks for answering!If you mean the Firewall in the OSX System Preferences, then yes, it is turned off.Any other suggestions to solve my problem?

You probably have some host file entries. Remove them or try jailbreaking from another computer.

did you had to insert your original sim from the unlocked company ? that's the only reason i wont start now.

Same problem here, iphone got stuck on a loop.. all i see is the apple logo and then it restarts. had to restore iphone.. im going to try again and run redsn0w again see what happens.. :(

every time a new jailbreak comes out cydia's servers get overloaded i'd wait a few hours or even a few days

connect to itunes, on the left hand side right click on your iphone and click restore from back up.
