It works!!!For we was critical to use "Autodetect" instead of “By Country and Carrier” in “Method”.

Finally got my iphone 4 ios 5.0.1 working on T-Mobile thanks to Abheek! Follow his instructions and once you are done, start from step 6 on the original guide and choose auto detect instead.

Just unlocked Sprint iPhone 4s using this. Thanks. Had to plug it in and out a lot of time (8-10 times) so was confusing. Hope this helps.

SIMs are GSM; if the phone is locked to CDMA, it might not even have its SIM slot enabled?

That won't work, because the IMSI is unique to each SIM; if you put it the IMSI of another SIM, the phone will work with that SIM, not your SIM.

I tested this unlock on my Sprint Iphone 4s and it worked with an ATT GO phone Sim! I would recommend that people use the video instead of the text directions!

you dont choose the carrier for sprint...you just choose the carrier for your new sim that you want to use....

I have a print 4s, let's say I decided to keep it on AT& prepaid go sim like you did, and I just dropped sprint, wouldn't they eventually blacklist the ESN, or it would have nothing to do with sprint after this. Oh BTW, how did you go back to sprint, just reactivate with SAM or what?

How did you manage to "upgrade" to the original 5.1 after i jailbrok (tethered) everything i do to try to go back to factory settings and no jailbreak doesnt work... maybe a link? or a tutorial?thannks!
