Make sure Cydia has fully updated before trying to install anything, keep tapping refresh until you see one new update then install it

If Cydia is loading but repos are not loading this has nothing to do with absinthe, it's because the repos are being overloaded with requests

Hi there!It's the first time for me to do a jailbreak. Tried it out on my iPad2(mostly because of retinapad) and everything worked great so far. But the app store behaves strange. It still shows my correct apple id, but all the prices are in USD instead of Euros now. I can download free apps without entering my apple id password but when I want to see the list of my already purchased apps and enter my password it says: cant connect to itunes storeNEVER MIND. It works after signing out and in again. All prices are in € again and I can seemall my purchased apps again.Hopefully I helped somebody by this. ;)

So far I've jailbroken 2 devices, a 4 and 4s with no problems. I tried jailbreaking my iPad 2 wi-fi (9B206) several times using the same procedure as the previously mentioned devices to no avail. I get the message "Error: could not connect to lockdownd". And before anyone asks, I did run the exe using administrator privileges. Has anyone run into this problem and found a solution?

Thanks for the info. All is still well with my iphones, but now I'm having trouble jailbreaking my iPad 2 using 2.0.1. Guess I'll wait for a fix.

First Jailbreak: accomplished with 2.0.1 I have just treid to Jailbreak My IPAD2 European Version 3G - Model A1396 With 2.0 I got all the trouble of "if you want to retry jailbreak your Ipad..." Now I went and used 2.0.1 and everything seems to have been working fine! Cydia is there and now i shall browse Cydia Thank you for all guys!

Is siri broken for anyone else? siri pops up but unable to give a command.

It looks like you have not disabled the passcode. Ensure its disabled and try again. Absinthe should guide you through the recovery process as you will be trying again.

I have like 500 apps in my phone, do I have to do a stock restore before doing the jailbreak? It will be a pain reinstalling all the apps..

Using this jailbreak method will require you to update your baseband. I would wait for Snowbreeze's custom ispw method or yet to be released alternative which would allow you to keep your current baseband intact while updating the firmware.

I just jailbreaked my iPhone 4s, iPad 2 and iPad 3, they all work like charm at one go. I tried running it on my Mac OSX 10.8 and it was a no go. Crashes every time i open the program so i used one of my office computers running Win XP and it worked like charm. Boy i sure do appreciate these dev guys.Please donate if it worked for you. I have already.

I have a mix of both legit and non legit. I don't mind losing the non legit, there's only about 5. I don't feel like reinstalling 495 apps..Any suggestions?

Me, too. Windows 7. iPhone 4G from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1. Tried both Absinthe 2.0 and 2.0.1. Even did total iTunes restore. Not working. Stuck. Any ideas, please??

Jailbreak worked fine on both my iPhone 4S/ and also New iPad. Only problem i have is trying to get some tweeks to work. Such as Winterboard themes. Are there any items i need to update? Usually Cydia has an update prompt. Thx

You can try xbackup or pkgbackup on cydia. Try seaching for a tutorial on google or youtube for a through explanation about how the process works. Best of luck.
