you dont gotta preserve your baseband just update in the settings app then jailbreak gevey will still unlock your phone

i have a Ipad 2 Wifi 16GB, and i jailbroke it and everything, and installed the xsellize source, and I go to X Books install the book i want and the safari shorcut to add it to Ibooks never shows up, i try to install the X Book fix but it comes up with errors and has a pop up saying its a threat i can ignore it or get rid of the fix, any idea how to get the books safari icon to show up?? (in the install of the book the only error i get is "Error: can't find icon to use! the next line tells me to please open the installed web clip to finish installation (wich is what never shows up))p.s i am a very much noob when it comes to jailbreaking 1st time ever doing it was today i used redsnow, and have no idea what i need installed to make things work,

I have ipad 2 and installation went perfectly fine, but as soon after launching Cydia, my App Store icon and Cydia icon has vanished and I'm not able to find them anywhere, even after using search. Any ideas?

i have the iphone 4s ios 5.1.1. i've backed up my iphone & started absinthe 2.0.1, but my iphone is not recognized. the jailbreak button is grey. i've had issues before with jb my iphone 4s & ipad 2. i think that there is some setting on file that is messed up on my mac (ios 10.7.4). any advice would be appreciated!!!!

Had no problems jailbreaking all the 3 generations of ipads that i have. Having problems updating my wife's iphone 4 though. I would get the update failed message when i try to update it 5.1.1, both from the phone settings and through itunes. But I am happy with my ipads...

Think i solved it, had to erase ALL data and settings and then tried again and it worked... only took about 4 hours!!!

I keep getting the message that it is "waiting for the jailbreak to start" after I click the jailbreak button, but the jailbreak never occurs. It just keeps waiting incessantly. How long is the jailbreak supposed to take? I am on Mac OSX 10.7.4

after jailbreaking my new ipad using absinthe 2.0. the previous games and apps are not working anymore even the apps i installed from cydia. i dont know what to do.. pls help me guyz.

iphone 4 on 5.1.1, jailbreak works but cydia wont run bigboss repository. cant add. get error about being the wrong type of repository. cant install sbsettings, or preferenceloader because of it. any ideas?

Yes it works on 5.1.1 if u save activation ticket. I jailbreak 5.1.1 without baseband update on my iphone 4 then restore activation ticket that have saved. It works

REALLY? i upgrade from 5.0.1 on iPhone 4, jailbreak works great except big boss repo won't load, so i restore the iPhone to try again and this time absinthe 2.0.1 says "sorry the attached device is not supported". WTF? I just did it a second ago!!!
